Digital Wallet

Secure Mobile and Online Purchases with your Home Bank of California debit and credit cards.

Digital wallets, also known as “e-Wallets”, are online payment tools, usually in the form of an app. The wallet securely stores virtual versions of debit and credit cards, so you don’t need to enter your card details or carry a physical card at all to make payments.

This can include purchasing items on-line with a computer or using a smartphone or connected devices to purchase something at a store. 

Set Up Your Digital Wallet

It’s easy and secure to set-up and make purchases with your Home Bank of California debit card and credit card with your smartphone or other digital devices. 

There are three digital wallet providers: Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.

Use Apple Pay on your iPhone®, Apple Watch®, or iPad® for in-store on in-app purchases.

How to add a card to Apple Wallet (the Apple Pay card repository) in just seconds. 

On your iPhone®

  1. Open the Wallet app on your device.
  2. Tap “+” icon.
  3. Scan your Home Bank of California card (works for both debit and credit cards).
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete set-up.

On your Apple Watch® 

  1. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone and select “Wallet & Apple Pay.”
  2. Select “Add a credit or debit card.”
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete set-up. 

On your iPad® 

  1. Go to Settings and select “Wallet & Apple Pay.”
  2. Select “Add credit or debit card.”
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete set-up.

 

Google Pay

Google Pay

Use Google Pay on your Android® phone or Android WearTM watch for in-store on in-app purchases. 

How to add a card to Google PayTM in just seconds. 

On your AndroidTM phone

  1. Install Google Pay app from Google Play Store. (If you need to set up the required Google Pay account follow the Google Pay Learning video tutorial instructions.)
  2. Add your Home Bank of California debit card and/or credit card by following the on-screen instructions.  

On your Android WearTM smartwatch 

  1. Open the Google Pay app and select “Get Started”
  2. Set up screen lock.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the set-up of your Home Bank of California debit card and/or credit card. (This will only add cards to your Google Pay app on the watch, not the phone.)

Use Samsung Pay on your Samsung® phone or Samsung Gear® watch for in-store on in-app purchases. 

How to add a card to Samsung Pay in just seconds. 

On your Samsung®  phone or tablet

  1. Install Samsung Pay app from Google Play Store. 
  2. Open the Samsung Pay app on your phone (or tablet) and tap “Menu” in the top left corner.
  3. Then select “Cards”.
  4. Next, tap “Add card”, then select “Add credit/debit card”.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to register your Home Bank of California debit card and/or credit card. 

On your Samsung Gear® watch 

  1. On your phone, open the Galaxy Wearable app. 
  2. From the Home tab, tap “Add card” (if it doesn’t appear, tap “More options” (the three vertical dots), then tap “+ Add Card”
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the set-up of your Home Bank of California debit card and/or credit card.
